Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Mixing bowl
  • Rolling Pin
  • Knife for cutting slits or shaping bread
  • Basting brush

Ingredients

  • For the Filling:
  • 1 1/2 cups cooked chicken shredded or diced
  • 1 cup steamed broccoli florets chopped
  • 1 cup Alfredo sauce store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • For the Bread:
  • 1 loaf refrigerated pizza dough or crescent roll dough
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter melted (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder optional
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Prepare the Filling
  • In a mixing bowl, combine cooked chicken, broccoli, Alfredo sauce, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Stir until evenly mixed.
  • Roll Out the Dough
  • On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle (about 12x8 inches). If using crescent roll dough, press the seams together to form a single sheet.
  • Add the Filling
  • Spoon the chicken and broccoli Alfredo mixture down the center of the dough, leaving about 2–3 inches of space on each side.
  • Seal the Bread
  • Cut slits along the sides of the dough, about 1 inch apart, creating strips. Fold the strips over the filling, alternating sides to create a braided pattern. Pinch the ends to seal.
  • Brush and Bake
  • Transfer the stuffed bread to the prepared baking sheet. Brush the top with beaten egg for a golden finish. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and cooked through.
  • Optional Garnish
  • If desired, brush the bread with melted butter mixed with garlic powder for extra flavor. Sprinkle with parsley before serving.
  • Serve and Enjoy
  • Allow the bread to cool for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve warm as a main dish or appetizer.
