Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Aluminum foil (optional for easy cleanup)
  • Large bowl
  • Whisk
  • Tongs
  • Oven or air fryer

Ingredients

  • For the Chicken Wings:
  • 10-12 chicken wings drumettes and flats
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • For the Honey Garlic Glaze:
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes optional for a little heat

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chicken Wings:
  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup, if desired.
  • Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to ensure crispy skin.
  • Toss the wings with olive oil, salt, and pepper, and spread them evenly on the baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Bake the Wings:
  • Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are crispy and golden brown. Alternatively, you can cook the wings in an air fryer at 375°F for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • Make the Honey Garlic Glaze:
  • While the wings are baking, prepare the glaze. In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  • Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Let it cook for 3-5 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly and the garlic has softened.
  • Glaze the Wings:
  • Once the wings are cooked and crispy, remove them from the oven and transfer them to a large bowl.
  • Pour the honey garlic glaze over the wings and toss them until they're evenly coated in the sticky glaze.
  • Serve and Enjoy:
  • Serve the glazed chicken wings immediately, garnished with chopped green onions or sesame seeds for extra flavor, if desired.
