Easy and Quick Italian Meatballs Crockpot Recipe

Delicious Italian meatballs cooked to perfection in a rich tomato sauce, made effortlessly in your crockpot.

  • Crockpot (slow cooker)

Ingredients
  

  • Meatballs:
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp dried Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Tomato Sauce:
  • 1 can 28 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 1 can 15 oz tomato sauce
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp dried basil
  • 1 tbsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Meatballs:
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, milk, egg, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
  • Prepare the Tomato Sauce:
  • In the crockpot, combine crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, chopped onion, minced garlic, dried basil, dried oregano, sugar, salt, and pepper. Stir to mix well.
  • Cook:
  • Place the meatballs into the crockpot, making sure they are submerged in the sauce.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the meatballs are cooked through and the flavors have melded together.
  • Serve:
  • Serve the meatballs and sauce over cooked pasta, in sub rolls with melted cheese, or as an appetizer.
