Instructions:
Chicken Cordon Bleu:
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare Chicken: On a cutting board, use a meat mallet or rolling pin to pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness (about 1/4 inch thick).
Assemble Chicken: Place a slice of ham and a slice of Swiss cheese on each flattened chicken breast. Roll up each chicken breast tightly and secure with toothpicks.
Prepare Breading: In a mixing bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, dried thyme, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Egg Wash: In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk.
Coat Chicken: Dip each chicken roll in the egg wash, then roll it in the breadcrumb mixture until evenly coated.
Bake: Place the coated chicken rolls in a baking dish and drizzle with olive oil. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.
Garlic Bread:
Prepare Bread: Slice the baguette or Italian loaf in half lengthwise.
Make Garlic Butter: In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 2 minutes, or until fragrant.
Assemble Bread: Brush the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread. If desired, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
Bake: Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven (375°F / 190°C) for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and crispy.
