Chicken Alfredo Pasta Recipe

Chicken Alfredo pasta is a creamy, indulgent dish that combines tender chicken, perfectly cooked pasta, and a rich, velvety Alfredo sauce. Ingredients
  

  • For the Chicken:
  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • For the Alfredo Sauce:
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg for added depth
  • For the Pasta:
  • 12 oz fettuccine or your favorite pasta
  • Fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Cook the Pasta
  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
  • Prepare the Chicken
  • Season the chicken breasts with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  • Make the Alfredo Sauce
  • In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Add the Parmesan cheese and whisk until melted and smooth. Season with salt, black pepper, and nutmeg (if using).
  • Combine Everything
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss to coat the pasta evenly. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of the reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
  • Top the pasta with sliced chicken.
  • Serve and Garnish
  • Transfer the pasta to serving plates or a large dish. Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!
