Prepare the Brussels Sprouts:
Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half lengthwise. Remove any damaged outer leaves.
Cook the Bacon:
In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon and set it aside. Leave the bacon fat in the skillet for the next step.
Sauté the Brussels Sprouts:
In the same skillet with the bacon fat, add the halved Brussels sprouts. Sauté for about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they’re golden brown and crispy around the edges. If needed, add a bit of olive oil to the pan.
Season the Brussels Sprouts:
Season the Brussels sprouts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder (if using). Stir well to coat.
Combine Bacon and Brussels Sprouts:
Once the Brussels sprouts are nicely caramelized, add the crispy bacon back into the skillet. Stir everything together.
Optional: Add Balsamic Vinegar:
For a touch of acidity and extra flavor, drizzle the Brussels sprouts and bacon with a bit of balsamic vinegar. Stir well to combine.
Serve:
Transfer the Brussels sprouts and bacon to a serving dish and enjoy!
