  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 10 egg roll wrappers
  • Oil for frying vegetable or canola oil
  • Optional: pickles diced tomatoes, crumbled bacon, or jalapeños

Instructions

  • Prepare the Filling
  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and diced onion, cooking until browned. Drain any excess grease.
  • Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  • Mix in the shredded cheddar cheese, ensuring the filling is well combined.
  • Assemble the Egg Rolls
  • Lay an egg roll wrapper flat on a clean surface with one corner pointing toward you, forming a diamond shape.
  • Spoon 2–3 tablespoons of the cheeseburger filling near the center of the wrapper. Add optional toppings like diced pickles or bacon if desired.
  • Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides, and roll tightly. Seal the edge with a dab of water. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
  • Fry the Egg Rolls
  • Heat oil in a frying pan or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C). Carefully add a few egg rolls at a time, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 3–4 minutes.
  • Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  • Serve
  • Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces such as ketchup, mustard, ranch, or a smoky burger sauce.
